All About Me
My name is Meghan Bird and I currently live in Tucson. I have two Masters Degrees, one in Elementary Education and one in Clinical Speech Pathology. I have been working in schools for the past 20 years. I love the outdoors and my family spends a lot of time hiking and camping in our free time. I also enjoy doing yoga and doing art. My son is 9 years old and he is now in the fourth grade. We spend countless hours reading, playing and doing arts and crafts. We also have 3 dogs and 1 cat and enjoy playing and caring for them as well.
I am so excited to begin working with you and your child. One of the most significant things that we can do for your child is to work together as a team to increase their speech and language usage. I invite you to join me in a home program specifically for your child that will focus on their needs.
Please always feel welcome to contact me at anytime to discuss your concerns or questions. There are things you will observe with your child at home that I may not observe in the school environment and this information can and will be used in planning treatment for your child. Treatment is a very fluid practice and will be reassessed often to see if goals are being met in the most effective manner.
Thank you so much for allowing me to embark on this journey with you and your family. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy on your child’s face as they become more effective communicators.
